Important notes about Oceans’ billing process:

Some insurance providers require prior authorization for behavioral health services. Oceans will work with your insurance provider to seek prior authorization as needed based on the insurance information provided at the time of admission.

Oceans will submit a bill for all inpatient hospital and/or intensive outpatient program charges to your insurance provider.

Full coverage of your inpatient hospital and/or intensive outpatient program services may or may not be provided by your health insurance provider. We encourage you to become familiar with your insurance coverage details to fully understand all benefits and any out-of-pocket expenses.

The insurance coverage estimates we provide are not a guarantee of payment and exclude all physician charges and outside services.

Frequently Asked Billing Questions

Price Transparency

In addition to making available a list of standard charges (sometimes called a chargemaster) for all services provided at the facility, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services now requires hospitals to disclose negotiated rates with various insurance providers and discounted cash prices to patients without insurance. To comply with these regulations, Oceans Healthcare facilities have provided pricing data for two services – an inpatient psychiatric hospitalization and intensive outpatient services. This information is current as of its posting and will be updated annually, as the rule requires.
