How We Treat: Multiple Options to Meet Your Needs

We know you’re unique, and so are your needs. Your specific treatment plan will depend on your condition and the severity of your symptoms.

Each client’s case is overseen by a licensed psychiatrist, ensuring the highest quality of expert care. Most clients receive a combination of individual therapy, group therapy, and medication management. You will also see a physician to rule out other potential causes for your symptoms. Regardless of the type of treatment you need, there is a place for you to heal at Oceans Healthcare.

Inpatient or Residential Mental Health Treatment

Our residential treatment is designed to allow you to come to a calm, safe, homey environment where you can focus all your energy on recovery. Here, you won’t have to deal with the daily stressors of your responsibilities at work or home. You’ll receive 24/7 support from our expert clinical staff. Your daily schedule, which consists of therapy, group sessions, skill-building, meals, and recreation time, will be managed for you.

Inpatient treatment will help you get through a crisis and find stable ground. If you don’t feel safe being on your own or are afraid you’ll hurt yourself or someone else, we can help.

Partial Hospitalization Program for Mental Health

In our partial hospitalization program (PHP), you will receive intensive treatment during the day and return home in the evening. This is a good fit for people who need substantial support to improve their mental health but need or want to spend evenings with their family.

You’ll have 4 or 5 hours of treatment a day in PHP. During this time, you’ll work with our therapists, clinicians, and other experts to understand the root causes of your mental health condition. With our support, you’ll develop the skills to improve your symptoms and prevent further crises.

Intensive Outpatient Program for Mental Health

Intensive outpatient therapy (IOP) guarantees you more support than traditional therapy while you keep your usual schedule. You’ll come for treatment roughly 3 hours in the evening, as many as 2-3 days a week. This way, you can continue going to work or school while getting the support you need.

Many clients stay in IOP for 8 to 12 weeks while they get through a difficult period in their lives. For some clients, this comes after an inpatient stay or PHP. For others, they begin their treatment at IOP. This program will provide you with continuous, in-depth mental healthcare when you need it.

Telehealth Treatment for Mental Health

We also provide secure telehealth treatment options. Telehealth allows you to meet with therapists and other members of the Oceans Healthcare team remotely. This option is designed to allow clients flexibility to get the care they need while maintaining a busy schedule.

Telehealth is primarily for clients who are participating in our IOP. It also enables our staff to evaluate people considering partial hospitalization or inpatient treatment quickly and efficiently.

Telehealth is a good fit for you if you have responsibilities that keep you at home or limit your ability to travel.

Mental Health Services Available at Oceans Healthcare

Oceans Healthcare is a full-service mental health facility. We are prepared to take on severe cases. We empower clients to get through serious mental health episodes and develop skills to prevent a crisis in the future.

You don’t have to have a specific diagnosis to receive care. If you’re in crisis, just getting yourself to treatment is enough. Our clinicians can work with you to determine what diagnosis fits your symptoms. We take a whole-person approach to every client working to heal their body and mind. Here are a few examples of conditions that we commonly treat.

Bipolar Disorder Treatment

Bipolar disorder is a lifelong mood condition. If you have bipolar disorder, you’ll experience the “highs” of manic or hypomanic episodes and the “lows” of depressive episodes. Although there is no cure for bipolar disorder, the condition is manageable. Many people living with bipolar disorder have happy, healthy lives.

The most common way to treat bipolar disorder is a combination of therapy and medication management. We’ll work with you to find medication that is effective at minimizing your symptoms. In therapy, you and your therapist will work to identify harmful behavior patterns and strategize ways to change your thoughts and reactions.

OCD Treatment

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a chronic mental health condition that causes you to have unwanted thoughts (obsessions). These obsessions push you to complete repetitive tasks (compulsions). condition can leave you feeling like you don’t have control over your thoughts or actions. Even if you know that your compulsions are getting in the way of your daily life, you might not be able to stop them on your own.

If you’re like most people with OCD, managing the condition is a lifelong process. With the right therapy, you’ll be able to process the underlying causes of your condition. You’ll learn healthy strategies for dealing with obsessions and gain control over your compulsions.

Depression Treatment

Depression is one of the most common mental health conditions in the U.S. It causes persistant low moods and feelings of worthlessness. For some people, depression is chronic. For others, it is caused by a particular set of circumstances. If you’re experiencing depression, treatment can help.

Therapy will empower you to get to the root of your depression. Using evidence-based therapy techniques, like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), you’ll get in touch with your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In CBT, you’ll identify negative thought patterns and reframe them.

Anxiety Treatment

At Oceans Healthcare, we treat multiple types of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and separation anxiety disorder. Living with an anxiety disorder can complicate your daily life and make it extremely difficult to relax.

With a combination of medication management and therapeutic techniques, we’ll empower you to take control of your anxiety symptoms. You’ll develop coping skills that will help you keep your anxiety from spiraling out of control. You and your therapist will work together to identify and deal with anxiety triggers.

PTSD Treatment

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) develops following a traumatic experience and leads to ongoing stress, anxiety, and flashbacks. We treat PTSD using trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy techniques designed to make you feel safe while also helping you work through your fears.

If you’re a military member with PTSD symptoms, our STAR Military program is designed with you in mind. This program adheres to military time, and our military liaison ensures a seamless transition. Here, you’ll work with staff who understand the specific challenges of military life.
