Suicide is a leading cause of death in the United States. In fact, 1.6 million Americans attempted suicide in 2022. It’s the second leading cause of death for people ages 25-34, and more than one-third of people who died by suicide in 2022 were age 55 and older.
It’s important to be vigilant about signs of suicide in yourself and loved ones. Awareness is an essential part of prevention. We must recognize the signs in loved ones and encourage them to receive treatment.
