Oceans Behavioral Hospital – Corpus Christi Announces Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program

October 16, 2023

Behavioral health provider expanding treatment options for adults and seniors

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas. – Oceans Behavioral Hospital – Corpus Christi, a behavioral health provider focused on healing and long-term recovery, today announced the opening of its Intensive Outpatient Program for adults 18 and older. The program will provide specialized mental health treatment for adults and seniors managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, substance abuse and other behavioral health challenges.

More than 62% of adults living with a mental health condition go untreated in Texas, according to the 2023 Mental Health America report. Recognizing a growing need for behavioral health care options in the state, the new service will allow individuals to manage their mental health while maintaining their current living arrangements.

“We believe mental health treatment isn’t one-size-fits-all, and many people require flexibility to address their daily responsibilities and emotional well-being,” said Venita Deleon, Intensive Outpatient Program director of Oceans Behavioral Hospital Corpus Christi. “Our treatment program is an ideal option for individuals who desire specialized care outside of a traditional inpatient setting.”

Each intensive outpatient treatment plan is tailored to the individual’s unique needs and progress. As patients improve, they receive tools to support ongoing symptom management and overall well-being.

The hospital currently offers sessions Monday through Friday in the morning, afternoon and evening. No matter a patient’s lifestyle, career commitments or obligations, flexible treatment is available to prioritize healing.

For hospital admissions criteria or referrals, please call (361) 288-1116.
