NOLA.com: New Behavioral Hospital Planned for Louisiana’s Northshore

Plans for a new 66-bed behavioral health hospital in Lacombe, Louisiana, are moving forward at the Ochsner Northshore Medical Complex.

Expected to open in 2027, the hospital will provide inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for adults, expanding access to specialized care across St. Tammany Parish, the Northshore, and the Florida Parishes. The project reflects a regional collaboration between Oceans Healthcare, Ochsner Health, and other healthcare providers to help meet the growing need for behavioral health services close to home.

Once open, the facility will support a more coordinated continuum of care for adults experiencing mental health challenges, offering compassionate treatment in a dedicated behavioral health setting.
