NORMAN, Okla. – Oceans Healthcare, a behavioral health provider focused on healing and long-term recovery, announced on July 14, 2025, the appointment of Jon Lasell as Chief Executive Officer of the Behavioral Health Center at Porter Health Village, a joint venture between Oceans Healthcare and Norman Regional Health System. The new, state-of-the-art, 48-bed hospital, which opened in June 2024, provides both inpatient and outpatient care for adults and seniors in south-central Oklahoma.
Jon brings more than 35 years of leadership experience in healthcare and 25 years of distinguished military service, offering a powerful combination of operational expertise, clinical insight and compassionate leadership. His career reflects a deep and consistent commitment to improving behavioral healthcare access, building high-performing teams and delivering patient-centered care.
A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Jon is widely recognized for his ability to lead transformational initiatives that enhance both culture and performance. His leadership is driven by a focus on quality, innovation and outcomes that prioritize the needs of patients and their families.
Prior to joining Porter Behavioral Health Center, Jon served as CEO of Haven Behavioral Health Hospital in Frisco, Texas, where he successfully implemented initiatives that expanded access to care and strengthened clinical performance. Throughout his career, Jon has been a steadfast advocate for advancing wellness-oriented systems and fostering environments that support recovery, resilience and dignity in behavioral health.

The Behavioral Health Center at Porter Health Village offers 48 inpatient beds for adults (18+) and a dedicated wing for seniors (55+) and includes Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization programs. The facility also provides evidence-based services including group therapy, recreational therapy, psychiatric medication management, addiction treatment, and support for families and caregivers. Referrals are accepted 24/7, and the hospital participates with Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare, and most insurance plans available through employers.
