Dr. David Rubin
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. David Rubin serves as Chief Medical Officer for Oceans Healthcare, where he provides medical oversight and guides clinical innovation across the organization’s system of care. A respected industry leader, visionary, and advocate, Dr. Rubin brings decades of clinical, academic, and leadership experience in psychiatry. He is widely recognized for his expertise in severe psychopathology, including treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, and neuropsychiatric illnesses, and has extensive experience in inpatient, residential, day-hospital, and emergency psychiatric care, as well as health care administration.
In addition to his role at Oceans, Dr. Rubin serves as Director of the Division of Professional and Public Education for the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and Mass General Brigham for Children, and as Executive Director of the MGH Psychiatry Academy and MGH Visiting Programs.
An Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Rubin spent more than a decade as Director of Training for the MGH/McLean Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency. He is a nationally recognized lecturer on withdrawn behavior in youth, pediatric depression, and the continuum of medical education from student to postgraduate levels.
