Behavioral healthcare company credits increasing need, service line expansion for growth
PLANO, Texas (June 7, 2018) – For the third year in a row, Oceans Healthcare has been named one of the 50 fastest-growing middle market companies in North Texas by the Dallas Business Journal. Known as the Middle Market 50, this annual list includes public and private companies with annual revenues between $25 million and $750 million.
“I am proud to once again be among a group of outstanding companies in our region but being included in this list is so much more than a recognition of Oceans Healthcare’s revenue growth,” said Stuart Archer, CEO. “The work our caregivers do to impact the lives of some of the most vulnerable citizens in our communities is invaluable. The individuals treated at our facilities are mothers, fathers, grandparents, sons, daughters and other close family members, friends and neighbors. And with every new acquisition, service line expansion or growth opportunity, we get the chance to bring behavioral health to center stage by raising awareness about the growing need for services.”
Oceans Healthcare is a nationally recognized behavioral health provider focused on healing and long-term recovery. Founded in 2004, the company provides inpatient and outpatient treatment with a focus on the unique physical and emotional needs of older adults and seniors. With 17 hospital locations in Texas and Louisiana, Oceans take great pride in being the largest provider of inpatient geriatric behavioral health treatment in Louisiana and one of the largest in Texas.
In 2017, Oceans treated more than 12,000 patients in its inpatient facilities, expanded its intensive outpatient programs for adults 18 and older and had more than 2,600 admissions to its outpatient programs across its system. The company recently announced the opening of a new intensive outpatient program in Abilene, Texas, designed specifically to address the emotional and behavioral needs of active duty military, veterans and their families. Oceans also recently expanded intensive outpatient services in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to treat patients suffering from substance use disorders along with behavioral issues. These specialized outpatient programs and clinics operate outside traditional hospital settings, expanding access to care and allowing individuals to remain at home and work while receiving treatment.
All 50 fastest-growing middle market companies will be ranked on a growth index and the official list will be announced June 14.
