Haughton Mental Health Services
Mental health influences every part of your life. When your mental health suffers, it makes it harder to work, maintain relationships, and take care of everyday responsibilities. Even simple tasks feel overwhelming.
In 2022, 1 in 5 Bossier Parish residents reported experiencing poor mental health for at least 2 weeks each month. At Oceans Healthcare, we believe you deserve better. The correct mental health care makes all the difference in empowering you to regain stability. That’s why our Haughton mental health services are here for you.
We’re committed to walking alongside you toward a brighter future. Our team will create a personalized care plan tailored to your unique needs, incorporating proven strategies like therapy, medication management, and holistic approaches to support your well-being and growth.
Choosing Our Mental Health Treatment Programs Near Haughton
We provide a range of care levels to ensure you get the support that best fits your unique needs. Whether you’re navigating a crisis and need intensive support, seeking ongoing therapy, or something in between, we’re here to help.
Referrals are accepted 24/7, so whenever you’re ready, we’ll be here.
Inpatient Treatment
Our inpatient treatment provides 24/7 support, giving you a safe and structured environment to take a break from everyday stress and focus fully on your recovery. Our experienced clinical team will oversee your treatment plan, ensuring you receive the care and attention you need.
This level of care is a good fit if you’re experiencing a crisis or feel you may be a danger to yourself or others. We offer specialized inpatient programs for adolescents (ages 13–17), adults, and seniors (age 55+), tailored to meet the needs of each group.
During your stay, you’ll engage in both individual and group therapy, and your medications will be managed for you. As you prepare for discharge, we’ll work closely with you to create a comprehensive plan that outlines your next steps and ensures a smooth transition to continued care.
Partial Hospitalization Program
Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) provides 4–5 hours of focused, structured care each day while still allowing you to return home in the evenings. It’s an ideal option if you need consistent support but also need to maintain responsibilities at home.
In some cases, PHP serves as a step down from inpatient treatment, but many individuals begin their time in treatment here if it suits their needs. While the average stay ranges from 1 to 3 months, your time in the program will be tailored to your progress and personal goals.
Throughout PHP, you’ll work closely with our care team to build the tools and strategies needed to handle your mental health and reduce the risk of future crises.
Intensive Outpatient Program
Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is more in-depth than standard weekly therapy while still giving you the flexibility to maintain your daily routine. Sessions are held for 2 hours, 2 to 3 evenings per week, making it easier to balance treatment with work, school, or family life.
We offer separate IOPs for adolescents and adults, so care is age-appropriate and tailored to your stage of life. Throughout the program, our clinical team will work with you to develop practical strategies for managing your symptoms and maintaining stability.
We also believe in the power of family support. That’s why we provide education and guidance for your loved ones, enabling them to better understand your experience and how to support you along the way.

Anxiety Treatment
Living with an anxiety disorder means dealing with persistent feelings of fear, worry, or unease—even when there’s no clear cause. While some anxiety is a normal part of life, anxiety disorders disrupt your daily routines and make it difficult to focus at work, in school, or at home.
Our anxiety treatment approach blends therapy, holistic techniques, and medication when needed to tackle your symptoms. With the right support, you’ll regain a sense of calm, clarity, and control in your life.
Depression Treatment
Depression makes you feel hopeless, empty, and isolated. It often erodes your sense of self-worth and causes you to pull away from those who care about you most.
When you’re facing depression, even daily tasks feel like heavy burdens. But with the right treatment, you start to regain your footing. Our approach to depression treatment provides practical coping tools and explores medication options that support you in taking meaningful steps toward healing.
OCD Treatment
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a long-term condition characterized by intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive actions (compulsions). Without proper care, these symptoms worsen over time, making it feel as though your thoughts and behaviors are spiraling out of control.
Effective OCD treatment will help you manage those intrusive thoughts and greatly reduce compulsive behaviors. Together with your therapist, you’ll develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals and helps you regain control over your thoughts and actions.
Bipolar Disorder Treatment
Bipolar disorder is a long-term mood condition that impacts millions of people in the U.S. Previously known as “manic-depressive disorder,” it involves extreme emotional highs (mania) and deep emotional lows (depression).
Typically, our bipolar treatment involves a combination of medication and effective therapeutic strategies. With the right support, it’s possible to keep symptoms in check, reduce the frequency of mood episodes, and maintain greater balance and stability in your life.
PTSD Treatment
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can develop anytime after experiencing a traumatic event, leading to persistent stress, anxiety, and intrusive flashbacks. It often feels as though you’re endlessly reliving your most painful memories.
There are various therapeutic approaches specifically designed for PTSD treatment. Working closely with your therapist, you’ll identify the treatment plan that best meets your needs, helping you heal from the deep pain at the heart of your condition.
Trauma Therapy
Trauma therapy is helpful even if you haven’t been diagnosed with PTSD. It’s meant for anyone who has experienced a deeply distressing event. In fact, beginning therapy soon after trauma reduces the risk of developing PTSD later on.
In trauma therapy, you’ll work closely with a therapist to understand how the experience has affected your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, you’ll uncover those connections and begin building healthy coping strategies to manage triggers and move forward with healing.
